for Family and Business Alternative dispute resolution services have become an integral component of the American legal system and an indispensable asset to people in the 1990s and beyond. Mediation regarding child custody disputes is now required by courts in Jackson County and Johnson County. Mediators, though often psychologists and counselors, are not acting as therapists, and they do not act as judges.
